CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Store the hammock in a clean, dry place during prolonged periods of bad weather and for the
winter in climates prone to harsh conditions.
• Check the hammock periodically to rid it of leaves and twigs that easily become lodged in the
rope. If this debris begins to rot while in contact with the rope, it could potentially harm the hammock.
• Squirrels, mice, birds and bugs sometimes use hammock-rope fibers for building nests, so inspect
this hammock for safety each time before getting into it, especially after lengthy periods when the
hammock has gone unused.
• Store the hammock fully dry inside a bag or other container that can be completely closed.
• Dogs will often use hammocks as chew toys. Dog owners should hang and store their hammocks
somewhere pets cannot easily reach.
• Avoid storing the hammock and pillow near strong chemicals, including pesticides, which may
damage the integrity of the different parts.
• To clean the hammock, stretch it out on a clean, dry, non-abrasive surface, then wet it with a hose
and gently scrub the ropes with a soft brush and a mild soap-and-water solution. Rinse the hammock
thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before hanging it back up or storing it.
• To clean the pillow, spray the fabric with a garden hose. If more extensive cleaning is required,
use a soft brush and a mild soap-and-water solution. Rinse with the hose when finished, allowing the
pillow to air-dry completely before reusing it or storing it.
