Bilge Alert High Water Detection Alarm
Important: Read before attempting installation.
The Bilge Alert high water detection alarm utilizes field effect
technology to detect presence of liquid. The patented field effect
technology can sense liquids with no moving parts. The detector
is highly reliable, durable and takes advantage of advanced sensor
technology. The detector activates an alarm of 100 db after a delay of
8 seconds after being exposed to water. The detector operates on a
12 V DC source.
Caution!
• The high water alarm detector is designed for 12 V DC operation
only. Do not use any other voltages; do not use AC or AC-DC
converted power sources.
• Failure to connect wires according to the instructions provided
will void any SPX Johnson Pomp warranty and may cause serious
damage or personal injury.
• Voltage rating: 10.5 to 14.4 V DC
Installation of detector:
Location:
1. Mount the detector on the bulkhead, stringer, inner transom or hull of boat
above the normal operating level of the automatic float switch, but below
critical components of the boat and or engine such as the starter.
