Pre-Installation
Fixture Placement
For ideal wireless performance, position the D4R according to these guidelines:
Keep within range: For more information, please refer to the installation guides for our control

products.

Avoid obstructions: Avoid having metal obstructions or walls between the D4R and the
nearest device.
•
Avoid metal enclosures.
•
Separate from Wi-Fi devices: Must be mounted at least 6 ft (1.8 m) away from wireless interference
sources like microwaves, Wireless Access Points (WAPs) etc.
The D4R requires a clearance of 10.5 in (266.7 mm) from side to side to allow for the mounting
spring arms to fully engage.
Ceiling Preparation
The D4R requires a ceiling hole size of 4.625 in (117.4 mm).
Turn OFF electrical power to all circuit breakers feeding into the panel before installing or
servicing this product.
