HOW TO FIT THE SAFETY BARRIER GUARD
WARNING: To ensure the correct operation of the auto-
close locking mechanism, the safety gate must be fitted in a
perpendicular position with respect to the floor's surface, as
shown in diagram D.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE AND USE THE SAFETY GATE
Place the safety gate in a central position with respect
to the opening, as shown in diagram E. The safety gate
must be perfectly perpendicular with respect to the floor
surface. Adjust the right and left cranks to the same de-
gree, ensuring that the safety gate is tightly fixed to the
wall caps. Ensure that the latter are firmly fitted to the
anchoring surfaces. Mark the position of the four wall
caps on the anchoring surface, then remove the safety
gate. Depending on the type of anchoring surface, glue
or screw the wall caps to the marked positions, using the
adhesive strips or the screws supplied, as explained in the
paragraph "How to Position the Safety gate" above. Carry
out this operation with the appropriate fixing accessories
(i.e.: inserts).
WARNING: If the anchoring surfaces are covered with
wallpaper, have air bubbles or are damaged, the caps
must be fixed with the screws.
Replace the safety gate, ensuring that the external bars
are placed at same distance with respect to the anchoring
surfaces; then fit the shafts into the wall caps. Screw the
cranks of the shafts to the same degree, in correspond-
ence with the lower part of the safety gate, checking that
that they are in contact with the safety gate. Screw them
tightly and ensure they are correctly fixed into position.
Screw the cranks of the shafts, in correspondence with
the lower part of the safety gate, to the same degree,
until they are in contact with the safety gate. Tighten the
cranks, ensuring that they are fixed correctly into posi-
tion, balancing the position of the four side cranks as seen
in details E1 and E2 of diagram E.
