A lock bolt may be inserted in the hole shown in Figure 2 below.
Lock bolt diameter range:
Maximum = 1/4" (0.250") [6.4 mm]
Minimum = 7/32" (0.218") [5.5 mm]
INSTALLATION
Additional Equipment/Parts Required (not included):
• J1772 electric vehicle charging station (EVSE)
• Liquid-Tight Strain relief for 0.85"-1.00" cable diameter range such as Heyco
number M4348.

1. Affix the strain relief to the EVSE enclosure.
2. Insert the charge connectors cable into the strain relief until the edge of the cables insulation reaches the inside lip of the strain relief.
NOTE: In order to fulfill the UL requirements, the fully-tightened strain relief must be able to withstand a 100-lb. pull on the cable without
allowing the cable to slip.
3. Wire the charge connectors cables to the EVSE using Figure 2 below:
4. If the pilot signal end on the EVSE side does not accept a Powerpole

Connector from the charge connector side. Then strip the wire to a length suitable to be connected to the EVSE. Assure that once the connection has been made to
add an insulator such as a wire nut.
