selector dial (3). There is a safety feature which prevents starting the coffee grinder without the
canister lid (6) and/or without the canister (9) in the receptacle (11).
CAUTION! Empty the ground coffee canister before grinding more coffee.
6. When done grinding coffee, unplug the coffee grinder from the mains and remove the ground
coffee from the canister (9) once it is removed from the receptacle (11). Clean the coffee grinder.
The power cord can be kept in the storage recess (14).
7. The coffee grinder can always be stopped by operating the power switch (2).
8. Do not keep the coffee grinder running for more than 72 seconds without interruption. If the
coffee grinder runs for the maximum permitted time, it requires 10 minutes to cool down before
grinding coffee again.
9. Always try to grind a volume of coffee you can consume directly; if left for some time, ground
coffee will quickly lose its aroma. Keep coffee in a dark, cool and dry place, in a sealed container.
10. Test what is the best ground grain size for each coffee variety in practice. The sheer number of
commercially available coffee varieties prevents any definition of exact ground grain sizes.
11. If the querns jam while processing, stop the coffee grinder, select a roughern grain size and start
grinding again.
CAUTION! Do not use the appliance for grinding any oily food products, e.g. nuts. Do not use the
appliance for grinding any hard products, e.g. rice.
12. Clean the coffee grinder after every use. If left inside appliance, the ground coffee can form sticky
lumps and contaminate the next ground batch.
