CONNECTING YOUR APPLIANCE TO A GAS CARTRIDGE
To be able to use your appliance you will need to purchase a gas cartridge which is suitable for this specific appliance.
Please see TECHNICAL DATA table for information regarding the gas cartridge.
• Make sure to close the tap (3) fully by turning it counterclockwise towards the symbol "-".
• Screw the gas cartridge carefully and directly onto the gas valve adaptor (2) while taking care not to cross thread.
• Screw down until the sealing washer meets the cartridge (hand-tight only).
• Position the gas cartridge with the mounted gas appliance away from any heat source and in a safe and upright
position.
• Always check for leaks at all joints before lighting the appliance.
LIGHTING YOUR GAS APPLIANCE
• Make sure your gas appliance is assembled and that the gas cartridge has been connected in accordance with above
instructions.
• Open the tap on the gas valve adaptor (3) by screwing the tap clockwise towards the symbol "+".
• Hold a lighter or a match near the burner to ignite it.
• When the burner is lit, turn the tap (3) counterclockwise towards the symbol "-" to decrease the heat intensity or
extinguish, and clockwise towards the symbol "+" to increase the heat.
• Do not open valves beyond the point where maximum intensity is reached as this may cause unnecessary flaring and
waste gas.
• Do not move the appliance/gas cartridge once lit as this may result in flaring. A warm-up period of about 1 minute is
required to avoid flaring.
• If you experience flaring (high yellow flames), adjust the flame down using the tap (3) until the flame is controlled
and blue again. Wait a few seconds and slowly increase the flame again.
• If the gas pressure drops or the gas will not light, check if there is still gas left in the cartridge. If there is gas left in the
cartridge the gas temperature may be too low.
FOR YOUR SAFETY – IF YOU SMELL GAS
• If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well-ventilated flame free location
where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not
try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
• If odour persists, contact the dealer or Easy Camp Customer Service (contact details below) and stop using the
appliance immediately.
