SAFETY WARNINGS

DANGER
- To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken in the
use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not
attempt repairs yourself; for assistance or to dispose of the device, return
it to an authorised service centre.
- The appliance is not to be used by children or people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
- Never run the pump out of water, do NOT run dry, the heat buildup
may cause damage to its components.
- Always unplug with dry hands for any maintenance or service.
- KORALIA Wi-Fi pumps are 12VDC. Please ensure you use only the
KORALIA Wi-Fi power supply.
- Ensure KORALIA Wi-Fi 12VDC power supply is plugged into an outlet
with a drip loop (fig. 3).
- Avoid the possibility of the appliance plug, power supply or wireless
hub from getting wet. Mount in aquarium stand where there is no
possibility of water dripping onto them. For any wires for aquarium
devices connected to electrical mains, the user must ensure that a
"drip-loop" is created. A "drip-loop" is that part of the cord below the level
of the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to
prevent water traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the
appliance.
- Turn controller OFF and disconnect the pump from power before
performing any service.
- Ensure KORALIA Wi-Fi pumps and any accessories all have a drip loop
installed before plugging into the outlet.
- Only use in freshwater or saltwater applications, do not use pumps in
other liquids.
- The KORALIA Wi-Fi pump utilizes very powerful magnets and can cause
severe personal injury.
- This product carries a water ingress protection rating of IPX2 and
the only portion that can be fully immersed in water is the pump. If the
controller falls into the water, DON'T reach for it! First unplug it and then
retrieve it. If electrical components of the controller get wet, unplug the
controller immediately (Non- immersible equipment only).
- Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be
plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it
is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Inspect
power cord insulation to be sure there are no cuts or exposed wire. If
so, Customer service would need to verify pump failure prior to warranty
work.
- Always unplug an appliance from an outlet and battery backup when not
in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
- Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to
disconnect.
- Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of
attachments is not recommended, and will invalidate any warranty.
- Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely installed before
operating it. Read and observe all the important notices on the appliance.
- To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters,
reflectors, lamp bulbs, etc.
