Possible Cause
Igniter fails
Pilot or orifice
LP gas tank valve is closed
Air in gas line
Low gas pressure with tank valve fully "OPEN"
Dirt built up around pilot
Connection between gas valve and pilot assembly is loose
Air in gas line
Thermocouple is not operating correctly
Control knob is not in "ON" position
LP gas pressure is low
Blockage in orifice
Connection between gas valve and burner assembly is loose Tighten connection and perform leak check
Air in gas line

Prevention/Cure
Light the heater manually with a match, per the "Lighting
Instructions". If heater lights with a match, replace igniter
Clean the pilot assembly: Download and follow the correct
cleaning instructions from www.bluerhino.com
Make sure regulator is securely attached to the LP gas tank,
turn LP gas tank valve to "OPEN"
1. Open gas line and bleed it (pressing control knob in) for not
more than 1 - 2 minutes or until you smell gas
2. Turn control knob to "OFF"
3. Wait at least 5 minutes for gas to dissipate
Turn LP gas tank valve "CLOSED" and replace LP gas tank
Clean the pilot assembly: Download and follow the correct
cleaning instructions from www.bluerhino.com
Tighten connection and perform leak check
Open gas line and bleed it (pressing control knob in) for not
more than 1 - 2 minutes or until you smell gas
Clean the heater: Download and follow the correct cleaning
instructions from www.bluerhino.com
Review "Lighting Instructions" and try again
Turn LP gas tank valve "CLOSED" and replace LP gas tank
Clear blockage: Download and follow the correct cleaning
instructions from www.bluerhino.com
Open gas line and bleed it (pressing control knob in) for not
more than 1 - 2 minutes or until you smell gas
Clean heater if still not working, obtain a new thermocouple
from the manufacturer
Turn LP gas tank valve "CLOSED" and replace LP gas tank
Use a full LP gas tank
Straighten hose, if cracked obtain a new hose from the
manufacturer
Turn LP gas tank valve "CLOSED" and replace LP gas tank
Place heater on a level surface
Clean the burner: Download and follow the correct cleaning
instructions from www.bluerhino.com
Remove blockage and clean burner inside and outside:
