4.1. Battery low

When the battery is low, the smoke detector warns you by emitting a repetitive beep and
flashing for around 30 days.
NOTE: This smoke detector has a non-replaceable battery. When you see and hear this
warning, replace the device as soon as possible! The low battery warning beep can be
deactivated for ten hours by pressing the test button. When the detector is in this mode,
it remains operational, but we recommend that you change it promptly.
4.2. Fault warning mode
If the smoke detector is not working properly, it moves into "fault warning" mode. Attempt
to clean the smoke detector (see maintenance). If you do not see any improvement and it
remains in fault mode, replace the smoke detector!
4.3. Deactivating "alarm" mode
When the smoke detector has detected smoke and switches to alarm mode, you can
deactivate the alarm for between 5 and 15 minutes by pressing the test button. After that,
the smoke detector automatically reinitialises itself and returns to normal operating mode. If
there are still combustion particles in the air, the smoke detector will revert to alarm mode.
