Table 1 Use the values shown in the table to tighten all the screws supplied.
• Check that the fan blade turns freely by turning it manually.
• Check the fan connections to the control panels and/or interfaces.
• Check the connection of the fan to the protective ground circuit of the system, and the effective connections of all
its parts before starting the machine.
• Take note of the desired rotation direction.
OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT AFTER START-UP
Check that the direction of rotation matches with the direction previously noted and reported on the fan.
Check that the input current does not exceed the current shown on the product identification label and/or motor
nameplate. NOTE: to have a reliable information, allow a reasonable period of stabilising time (3 hours at 18°C).
Check the bearing temperatures after the first 24/36 hours of operation, operating range of the bearings is the same
as the motor.
During fan operation, there must not be any visible vibrations on the fixing bracket or stabilization cables. The alert
value to be considered is 12.7mm/sec (peak value) - 9mm/sec (RMS), measured on the fixing bracket, rigidly fixed to
the support, suitably sized as described in the previous steps.
5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING: maintenance must be carried out by qualified, trained and instructed personnel who are adequately equipped
with protection devices. Maintenance operations of fans are relatively simple, but they still require routine operations
aimed to maintain their efficiency of all their components and to avoid damages which would negatively affect their
good working order and people's safety. The interval of maintenance operations depends on the fan effective operating
conditions. In ideal and continuous operating conditions, it is advisable to subject the fan to a maintenance operation
every 2200 hours.
The cleaning of the blades must be accurate, so as not to create imbalances due to dirt residues.
Clean the dust that is deposited on the electric motor, thus preserving the heat dissipation capacity during operation.
Bearing lubrication is not required. The motor is equipped with self-lubricating bearings, maintenance-free for lifetime.
Their life varies according to the actual operating conditions (number of start-ups etc.) and the operating ambient
conditions (temperature, presence of dust etc.). Bearings are conceived to guarantee at least 50000hrs of operation
in ideal use conditions.
Check the integrity and tightening of bolts (galvanized, metric, coarse pitch, class 4.8 and 8.8). In case of oxidation,
replace with spare parts having the same features. Before starting the fan, make sure no metal foreign bodies are left
inside the fan body.
Repeat the required operations before and after start-up (chapter 4. INSTALLATION).
6. STOP
WARNING: stop procedure must be carried out by qualified, trained and instructed personnel who are adequately
equipped with protection devices.
