WARNING
NOT RATED FOR SEISMIC LOAD APPLICATIONS
INSTALLATION:
Insertion of Wire Rope through FCL (FIGURE B):
NOTE: MAKE CERTAIN APPLIED LOAD IS FULLY
SUPPORTED INDEPENDENTLY OF THE FCL CABLE LINK
UNTIL INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.
Step 1 Insert correct diameter Wire Rope through rst Cable Entry
Port.
Step 2 Pass Wire Rope through the proper connecting or load
point(s) of the suspended device or structure. Bring Wire
Rope back up and insert into the second Cable Entry Port.
Adjust wire rope (see Figure C) to connect length to
achieve the desired height for the device to be suspended.
Allow a minimum of 6 inches of Wire Rope beyond the
Cable Exit Port of the FCL.
WARNING
DO NOT STAND UNDER LOAD WHILE ADJUSTING
OR REMOVING THE WIRE ROPE
Adjustment and Removal of Wire Rope (FIGURE D):
TO ADJUST WIRE ROPE IN SAME DIRECTION OF INSERTION (as indicated
by the Arrow Indicator), simply continue to pull until the correct height of the
suspended load is achieved.
TO ADJUST WIRE ROPE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF INSERTION (as
indicated by the Arrow Indicator) or REMOVAL OF WIRE ROPE.
MAKE CERTAIN THE APPLIED LOAD IS FULLY SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT
OF THE FCL CABLE LINK BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ADJUST OR REMOVE
THE WIRE ROPE. When a load has already been applied to the FCL and the
Locking Roller has created a wedged contact with the Wire Rope, you may need
to pull the rope slightly in the same direction as the Wire Rope insertion in order
to disengage the Locking Roller while simutaneously pushing the Release Pin in
the same direction. The Wire Rope will then be free from the wedged grip of the
Locking Roller. Once the Wire Rope is free to move, pull the Wire Rope in the
direction opposite of the insertion until the correct position is achieved, or for
complete removal of the Wire Rope. When adjusting the Wire Rope to a different
position, allow a slight amount of additional height. Then pull the Wire Rope in
the direction as indicated by the Arrow Indicator to the nal position. The Locking
Roller will grip the Wire Rope in any position. DO NOT USE THE RELEASE PIN
to adjust the position of the load. Finally, pull on the Wire Rope opposite the
Arrow Indicator to ensure the proper grip has been achieved.
