• Never open the housing.
• Keep the device away from pointed or sharp objects.
• If the device has been dropped or has suffered any other damage, it must no longer be used.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children could put batteries in their mouth and swallow them.
This may severely damage their health. In such cases, seek medical assistance immediately!
• Normal batteries must not be charged, heated or thrown into an open fire (risk of explosion!).
• Always replace all batteries at the same time and use batteries of the same type.
• Leaking batteries may damage the device. If you do not intend to use the device for longer periods, re-
move the batteries from the battery compartment.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries!
Warning: repairs
• Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject users
to considerable danger.
In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop.

4. Initial use

4.1 Inserting the batteries

In order to use the cosmetics mirror, you first need to insert the supplied batteries. To insert the batteries, follow
the steps below:
1. Remove the battery compartment lid on the rear of the device.
2. Insert the three supplied 1.5V AA (alkaline type LR6) batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted with
the correct polarity, according to the label. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
3. Close the battery compartment lid carefully.
The mirror lighting can only be switched on if the mirror is mounted on a wall or is on a firm surface (see
chapter 5, Operation).
