Receiver Unit
Drill two holes on the wall at your required height. The distance between the two holes should
match the two hanging holes at the back of the receiver.
Then insert two wall plugs (included) into the holes.
After that, insert two screws (included) into the wall plugs.
Be noted that you should not insert completely the screws into the wall plug, but keep a
suitable length out of the wall surface, which is to hold the receiver.
Finally you can hang the receiver.
Avoid positioning on UPVC Frames, above heat sources (e.g. radiator) or in damp areas such
as a kitchen or bathroom.
User Hints
If the Receiver does not sound, please check the following:
● Flat batteries in either Transmitter or Receivers-change the batteries.
● Wrong battery polarity in either Transmitter or Receivers-reinsert the batteries.
● Units are out of range-Operate the Receiver within the operation range.
Tips & Tricks: The PIR sensor is not infallible. In particular...
1. The sensor can't detect anything which is the same temperature as their backgrounds. For
example, a car which hasn't been running long (and is, thus, the same temperature as its
surroundings) may go unnoticed. This should, however, be unlikely.
2. Any moving heat source can trigger the sensor. For example, a moving shadow on a sunny
day may trigger the sensor, or the sun coming out from behind clouds. False triggers should
be rare, but will occasionally occur.
3. Pedestrians, animals or any other large heat source can trigger the sensor, so avoid busy
pathways or sidewalks.
Therefore, try to aim the sensor towards an evenly lit and heated view with a minimum of
shifting lighting or moving objects.
Ideally, the sensor should only see your driveway, and the only moving object (s) in front of
the camera should be the car (s) or person (s) you want to detect.
Using a Power Supply-OPTIONAL: Recommended for Advanced Users Only
There is a DC input jack on the top right hand side of the receiver. You can connect a power
adapter to this port, provided it matches the power requirements as specified.
The power requirements are :6V, 200mA (Centre pin+)
Most good electronics stores will have power adapters suitable for the Driveway Alert Alarm.
Be sure to match the power requirements exactly. Using anything other than a 6V power
adapter will have undesirable (and potentially dangerous) results (not the least of which will
be to void your warranty).
Don't cut, open or modify any electrical equipment, cables or housings.
