F.B. submersible electropumps are only for under water use. It is allowed to operate them only if
the pump complies with the applicable directives and legal standards.
It is allowed to use the submersible electropumps only in clear and fluid means like, for
example, drinking water and industrial water.
The means not allowed are air, easily flammable and explosive liquids and sewage.
F.B. declines all liabilities for material damages caused by an inappropriate use of the
electropumps or that exceeds the indications given above in point 2.1. The risk is the sole
responsibility of the user.
The warranty also excludes in all cases the emission of pass certificates and reimbursements
for the equipment or for consequential damage and in particular for damages to persons and
things due to improper use of the machinery here described.
Consumables are not subject to warranty.
The electrical equipment may only be done by a skilled person (professional training as an
electrician-installer or installer of electrical machines).
Before starting the submersible electropump it is essential to comply with the following safety
rules:
• No work must be done on the submersible electropump other than what is described in this
manual.
• The submersible electropump must work under water (both the submersible electropump and
the cable to it connected must be completely submersed).
• Do not modify or transform the submersible electropump or its electrical connections.
• Never open the electropump.
• Do not use the electropump if any of its parts are damaged.
• If any work is necessary it must only be done when the motor is not working. No interventions
or checks are necessary when the electropump is working.
• Always disconnect the electropump from the electricity supply before doing any work on it.
• When working on the electropump make certain no one can reconnect the power accidentally.
• Never work on the electrical equipment during thunder storms.
• As soon as work is finished on the electropump make sure that all the safety and protection
devices are put back in place and are all working.
• Before turning on, check all the electrical connections and make sure all the protection devices
are adjusted correctly.
• Make certain that dangerous points cannot be accessed easily (like the rotating parts, suction
points, pressure outputs, electrical connections).
• Comply with the commissioning conditions required by the pump manufacturer.
• It is essential to mark motors or units of submersible electropumps that have been in contact
with contaminated liquids before handing them over to third parties (e.g. when shipped for
repairs). Pay attention to any residues there may be in "dead spots" (diaphragm cover, stages
and non-return vale).
• Only specialized workshops are qualified to do repairs.
• Use original spare parts only.
