Please note the safety precautions at the
beginning of this user manual. The MINOX
SUNTIMER™ measures the proportionate ultra-
violet radiation (UV radiation) of the sun and in
addition provides useful information about the
intensity of the UV radiation. In conformity with
the safety precautions of the ministry of radiation
protection and research this instrument calculates
the maximum time you should be exposed to the
sun per day.
On the other hand there can be influences
preventing the instrument from registering your
actual dose of ultraviolet radiation. As well your
skin might react differently than usual. Using the
SUNTIMER™ does not replace your normal feeling
and can not guarantee to avoid adverse and harmful
impact due to sun radiation.

Background information on the sun's
UV radiation and its effects on humans
The nature of ultraviolet radiation, how to measure
it but also how it affects us humans and our
health can be much diversified. Therefore now we

In this way it can penetrate and change the structure
