MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT
Maintenance operations should be carried out with
the machine off and unplugged.
The boiler should be washed on a regular basis
(approximately every 100 hours of work, or every
6 months) with a suitable de-scaling product (to be
used according to manufacturer's instructions). Wash
the boiler as follows:
a) Remove the boiler cap (E) (Fig. 28)
b) Loosen the drain plug (25) (Fig. 29). Drain off any water
left in the boiler and tighten the drain plug again.
NOTE
Before removing the drain plug (25) place a container
under the appliance to collect drain water.
c) Fill the boiler with de-scaling fluid
d) Leave the product in the boiler for the time specified on
the product label.
e) Loosen the drain plug (25) (Fig. 29) and drain off the
de-scaling product, rinse the boiler several times to eliminate
any trace of de-scaling fluid.
f) Tighten the plug (25) (Fig. 29). For boiler filling, refer to
"Preparing the appliance ready for use", on page 7.
IMPORTANT
Only use de-scaling products specifically
recommended for steam boilers.
