Remaining hazards
The machine has been built using modern technology
and in accordance with recognized safety rules.
Some hazards, however, may still remain.
• Electrical hazards exist when unsuitable electric
connections are used.
• Although having regarded all considerable rules
there may still remain not obvious remaining haz-
rds.
• Minimize remaining hazards by following the in-
structions in "Safety Rules", "Use only as author-

During charging, the battery and the charger will
heat up. That is normal. Lithium-ion batteries do not
have the known "memory effect". Nevertheless, a
battery should be fully discharged before charging
it, and the charging process should always be fully
completed.
NOTE
Follow the battery charging instructions in the user
manual for the power tool or the charger.
Reduced operating durations after charging indi-
cate a worn battery. The battery must be replaced.
If the batteries are not used for a while, store them
partly charged in a cool place (10-25 °C).
Store the battery and the device separately from
each other.
Transport
The equivalent lithium content of the batteries includ-
ed in the delivery is below specified limits. Therefore,
the battery as an individual component, as well as the
power tool with its delivery contents, are not subject
to national or international hazardous materials regu-
lations. These regulations may become relevant when
transporting several devices with lithium-ion batteries,
which then require particular safety measures (e.g. for
the packaging). In this case, find out about applicable
regulations for the country of use.
m CAUTION! Do not use batteries with damaged
casings.

Disposal and recycling

m WARNING!
Do not dispose of batteries in household waste, in
fire or water. Do not open worn-out batteries.
Batteries should be collected, recycled or disposed of
in an environmentally friendly manner.
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equip-
ment and its accessories are made of various types
of material, such as metal and plastic. Defective
components must be disposed of as special waste.
Ask your dealer or your local council.
Old devices must not be disposed of with house-
hold waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must
not be disposed of together with domestic
waste in compliance with the Directive
(2012/19/EU) pertaining to waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE). This product must
be disposed of at a designated collection point. This
can occur, for example, by handing it in at an author-
ised collecting point for the recycling of waste elec-
trical and electronic equipment. Improper handling
of waste equipment may have negative consequenc-
es for the environment and human health due to po-
tentially hazardous substances that are often con-
tained in electrical and electronic equipment.
