•
The heater has hot, arcing, or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas
where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
•
To prevent overload and blown fuses, do not plug in or use another
appliance on the same electrical circuit as the heater.
•
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this unit
with any solid-state speed control device.
•
Ensure the heater is placed on a stable, secure surface to avoid risk of
tipping it over.
•
DO NOT use an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power
strip). Always plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.
•
DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions
on this appliance. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit
contains no serviceable parts. Only qualified personnel should service the
appliance.
•
It is normal for the power cord to feel warm to the touch. However, a loose
fit between the outlet and the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If
this occurs, try inserting the plug into a different outlet. Contact a certified
electrician to inspect the damaged outlet.
•
In the event of overheating, the heater will automatically shut off. To reset,
turn off or unplug the heater for 10 minutes so components can cool down.
The most common cause of overheating is the collection of dust. Refer to
the Care and Maintenance section in this manual for cleaning instructions.
•
The health of birds and some small pets are extremely sensitive to the
fumes given off during the initial use of many appliances. Although these
fumes are not harmful to humans, it is recommended that this heater not
be used around birds and small pets during its initial use until the
manufacturing corrosion coatings burn off.
CAUTION:
TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO
WIDE SLOT AND FULLY INSERT.
