and more accurate dry cutting, concrete
or stone grooving by diamond discs. The
maximum depth of the cut can be set with
a sliding stop for cut depth [1-5], whose
position is secured with a stop screw [1-6].
When the cut depth is achieved, automatic
arrest is applied. This position is unlocked
with an arresting button [1-1]. In order to
enable safely putting away the exhaust cov-
er with a mounted cutting disc, the cover
is equipped with the top-position arresting,
which is unlocked with the arresting but-
ton [1-1] as well. Reduction of friction of
the exhaust cover on the workpiece and/or
damage of the workpiece surface are pre-
vented by wheels of the cover. The cut axis
can be watched in cut indicators [1-14], or
at the disc contact point with the workpiece
if the aperture cover [1-3] is opened. A
PROTOOL guide bar can be used to make
the cut guiding more accurate.

► Before every use of the tool inspect the
fl exible power cord and power plug. Any
defects found must be repaired by an
expert.
► This equipment must not be used in damp
and wet environments, in rain, fog, snow
and environments with a risk of explo-
sion.
► If you carry out work during which the
tool might cut hidden electric cables, take
care to only hold the tool's insulated han-
dles.
Safety regulations for cutting discs
► Warning: Incorrect use of diamond tools
may cause their bursting with consequent
serious injuries.
► Before clamping, visually check all dia-
mond tools for cracks or other possible
damage.
► Never use damaged diamond tools.
► When clamping, be careful about the di-
rection of rotation marked on the label
and/or the diamond tool, which must be
the same as the direction of the actual
rotation of the machine used.
► The fl ange and fastening nuts must be
properly tightened.
► Use a tool with specifi cations suitable for
the worked material – cf. the information
on the diamond tool and its packaging.
► Put the diamond disc vertically to the
cut.
► Always apply oscillating cuts to let the
disc cool down and prevent overload of
the diamond disc.
► After several cuts or intensive cutting
make a cool-down break to prevent over-
heating of the diamond tool.
► Avoid mechanical damage to the diamond
tool, whether by force, impact or heat.
► Do not use a diamond cutting disc for
grinding. Do not apply a lateral pressure
on a diamond cutting disc.
► Diamond tools are self-sharpening. A
blunt tool is recognised by reduced cut-
ting power and a circular "fi re" edge.
Short cuts into abrasive materials (lime-
stone/sandstone bricks, asphalt or gas
concrete) may sharpen a blunt tool. Spo-
radic sparks while cutting stone are typi-
cal and do not mean a critical problem.
