Information: The speed for
counterclock rotation is reduced
by the tool design. With increased
speed of counterclock rotation there
may be therefore more sparking in
the motor`s commutator. This is
normal and is not indicative of any
defects.
9 – Mode of operation
ATTENTION! All insertion tools

ATTENTION! When working,
always hold the tool firmly with
both hands!
Chiselling in tiles and masonry
(Figs. 12/13/14)
Insert the chisel into the chuck (1) as
described above. When using a flat
chisel, turn the selector switch for the
type of operation (9) to the position
and turn the chisel to set a favourable
working angle. Lock the set chisel
setting by turning to the position (
Set the chisel on the material. Switch
on the tool and start with a low impact
count, raising it when required. Do not
exert any excessive pressure on the
material to enable the chisel to develop
its full power.
Hammer-drilling in masonry (Fig. 15)
Set the selector switch for the type of

hammer generates the impact necessary

Unlike the hammer drill, the drilling power
does not depend on pressure. Higher
pressure does not increase efficiency or
performance!
With large boreholes, first pre-drill with
a small drill bit diameter.
Drilling wood and metal
(Figs. 16/17/18)
Insert the crown-gear chuck (11) íncluded
in the delivery for conventional wood and
metal bits into the chuck (1) as described
under "Changing tools". Open the chuck
with the chuck key (12) and insert a
conventional wood or metal drill bit. Using
the chuck key, lock up the drill chuck
tightly. Speed selection with the knob (5).
Set selector switch (4) to clockwise
rotation. Press ON/OFF switch (6) and drill
at the maximum speed set.
Tightening and loosening screws
(Fig. 19)
Any type of screwdriver bit can be
inserted into the crown-gear chuck, if
necessary using a bit holder (not
supplied). Set selector switch (4) to
clockwise rotation for inserting screws.
ATTENTION! To obtain the best
power transmission, always use
a bit that matches the particular
screw head concerned!
ATTENTION! In order not to
damage the screw heads, always
start at a low speed, increasing it when
required!
Set selector switch (4) to counter clock -
wise rotation for loosening screws. Start
at a low operating torque to avoid tight-
fitting screw heads from twisting off.
Increase the operating torque carefully
when required.
