BEFORE USING OUR BATTERY CHARGER, READ IN DETAILS ALL INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL. KEEP THIS MANUAL IN A SAFE PLACE
AS YOU MAY NEED TO USE IT AT A LATER DATE.
We draw the attention of all users of this device: please follow the safety and maintenance instructions which are part of this manual. Also read the caution markings on
the charger, the manual, and the gift box.
CAUTIONS:
1. The charger is restricted to charging
and Lifepo4 rechargeable batteries
only. Never use this charger with other types of batteries that are not mentioned above,
property damage and/or personal injury.
2.
The BC 3500 is compatible with batteries of varying sizes, therefore when charging certain batteries (such as 26650 and AAA), manual adjustment of the battery's position within the slot is
recommended, as to ensure solid contact is made between both sides of the battery and the charging slot's metal contact points.
3. The charging unit shall only be used only at normal indoor room conditions
The BC 3500 operating temperature is between 0ºC - 40ºC
4. Always follow the charging instructions for the rechargeable battery.
5. Never use any power cable and transformer other than those originally supplied with the charging unit.
6. The rechargeable batteries may become hot during charging (especially when high charging current is chosen). User shall take extra care when taking out the batteries after charging.
7. Unplug the charging unit from the power source when not in use.

BATTERY CHECKING
For every installed battery, the BC3500 will check the battery type and its voltage. If zero voltage is detected, "Null" will be displayed on the LCD screen. If the battery detection fails the first time,
please remove and reinstall the battery once again and try to activate for the second time.
Note: The BC3500 is not recommended for use with over-discharged (zero volt) UNPROTECTED Li-ion batteries. Li-ion batteries without a protection circuit can potentially cause a fire or explode.
Set the battery type to
LiFePO4:
Note: The following settings have to be done before the charging process started, the charging started when the
after inserting a cell automatically.
1.
Put a LiFePO4 cell into the charging compartment
2.
Press the corresponding channel button shortly to change between 0.25A, 0.5A and 1.0A charging current
If 0.25A is needed as charging current, please switch through all currents until 0.25 is displayed again, otherwise the manual selection for LiFePO4 is not possible
3.
Press and hold the corresponding channel button for approximately 5 seconds, the battery type changes to LiFePO4
OPERATING MODES
Charge Mode
Charge up the rechargeable battery (CHG) – charges up the rechargeable battery, automatically switch to trickle charge after rechargeable battery is full.
1.
After the AC adapter has been plugged to the power source, LCD shows all digits and then displays "NULL"
2.
Once a rechargeable battery is inserted , the battery voltage (for example, "1.39V") and the battery type will be displayed
3.
The default mode is charge with 0.25A, the function is indicated by "CHG" on the left of the capacity display
4.
Within 8 seconds after inserting the battery you can switch the current by pressing the corresponding channel button shortly, you can switch between0.25, 0.5A and 1A current
5.
While charging, charged capacity in mAh and the elapsed time is displayed the charging symbol displays bars moving from left to right
6.
When charging is finished, a finish tone rings.
Testing Capacity Mode
Test the capacity (CAP) – charges up the rechargeable battery, then discharges and determines the capacity, charges the battery and automatically switches to trickle charge after
rechargeable battery is full.
1.
After the AC adapter has been plugged to the power source, LCD shows all digits and then displays "NULL"
2.
Once a rechargeable battery is inserted , the battery voltage (for example, "1.39V") will be displayed
3.
The default mode is charge with 0.25A, the function is indicated by "CHG" on the left of the capacity display
4.
Within 8 seconds after inserting the battery you can switch the current by pressing the corresponding channel button shortly, you can switch between0.25, 0.5A and 1A current
5.
After 8 seconds the charging mode will start, indicated by the bars moving from left to right
6.
Press and hold the corresponding channel button to change to capacity test mode, CAP will be displayed, the battery will be charged until full
7.
When charging is finished, a finish tone rings.
8.
The charger enters discharge mode, the capacity display is reset to 0, the battery charging symbol displays reversed charging bars from right to left while discharging
9.
While discharging, the discharge current is half of the set charging current and discharged capacity is counted
10.
When discharging was finished, a finish tone rings, the charger will enter charging mode, the displayed capacity is the result of the capacity test
11.
When charging is finished, a finish tone rings.
