Tube d´arrivée
USING THE HOSE REEL
This hose reel comes fully assembled, and requires only moments to install.
Connecting the Leader Hose
1. Remove the leader hose from the reel assembly. Thread the male end of the leader hose
into the in-tube (see Fig. A). Thread the female end of the leader hose onto the faucet.

2. Pull the crank handle down and lock it into place (see Fig. B).
Connecting the Garden Hose
3. Disengage the hose guide by firmly lifting the knob that is located on top of the guide
and turning it to the right. This will release the guide from the track so that it can be
repositioned in line with the garden hose. Slide the guide to the left of the reel, thread the
garden hose through the guide, and connect it to the out-tube (see Fig. C). Turn the knob
that is located on top of the guide to the left in order to engage the hose guide.
SERVICING THE HOSE REEL
It may be necessary to replace the O-rings occasionally in order to maintain a watertight
seal with the out-tube.
Replacing the O-rings (See Fig. D & Fig. E)
1. Lift the cross-brace on the reel in order to disengage the snap.
2. To service the in-tube, grasp the white release tabs on the out-tube and pull. Remove
the in-tube in order to replace the O-rings.
3. Coat the new O-rings with silicone-based lubricant.
4. To reconnect, slip the out-tube over the in-tube until it locks in place with a click.
5. Replace the cross-brace on the reel.
UTILISATION DU DÉVIDOIR
Ce dévidoir est entièrement monté, et son installation ne demande que quelques instants.
Raccordement du tube d'arrivée
1. Débranchez le tuyau d'alimentation du dévidoir. Vissez l'embout mâle du tuyau
d'alimentation dans le tube d'arrivée (voir la figure A) et vissez l'embout femelle du tuyau
d'alimentation au robinet.

2. Dépliez la manivelle et bloquez-la en position (voir la figure B).

3. Dégagez le guide-tuyau en soulevant fermement et en tournant vers la droite le bouton
situé sur le dessus du guide-tuyau. Le guide-tuyau se libère alors du rail afin de pouvoir
s'aligner avec le boyau d'arrosage. Glissez le guide-tuyau vers la gauche du dévidoir, puis
introduisez le boyau dans le guide-tuyau et branchez-le au tube de sortie (voir la figure C).
Tournez le bouton situé sur le guide-tuyau vers la gauche pour enclencher le guide-tuyau.
ENTRETIEN DU DÉVIDOIR
Il peut être nécessaire de remplacer périodiquement les joints toriques du tube d'arrivée
pour maintenir l'étanchéité du raccord du tube de sortie.
Replacement des joints toriques (voir les figures D et E)
1. Tirez fermement sur la traverse du dévidoir afin de libérer le mécanisme.
2. Pour procéder à l'entretien du tube d'arrivée, saisissez les languettes blanches de
débranchement du tube de sortie et tirez. Retirez le tube d'arrivée pour remplacer les joints
toriques.
3. Appliquez une couche de lubrifiant au silicone sur les joints toriques neufs.
4. Pour rebrancher le tout, faites glisser le tube de sortie par-dessus le tube d'arrivée
jusqu'à ce qu'il se verrouille en émettant un déclic.
5. Remettez la traverse du dévidoir en place.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1) When attaching the garden hose to the out-tube on the hose reel, be sure to
attach it correctly (see Fig. 1). Cross-threading could cause permanent damage.
2) If there is a possibility of freezing, remove the hose from the faucet and drain
the water out of the hose and the reel. If trapped water freezes, it may cause dam-
age to the reel, the hose, or the pipes.
3) Store the hose reel indoors during colder months. Check the in-tube and the
out-tube connections prior to the first use each spring.
4) Check the in-tube connection regularly in order to verify that the watertight con-
nection is working properly. If the connection appears to be loose, use the palm
of one hand to hold the in-tube in the correct position at the side of unit, and then
place the palm of the other hand against the base of the out-tube, and push the
parts together until they snap into place.
5) When winding the hose after use, drain as much water out of the hose as pos-
sible. This will prevent extra stress on the hose reel (from the weight of the water)
that could cause permanent damage.
INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANTES
1) Lorsque vous raccordez le boyau d'arrosage au tube de sortie, assurez-vous
que le raccordement est correctement effectué (voir la figure1). Le fait de glisser
le raccord dans le mauvais sens risque d'endommager irrémédiablement les filets.
2) En cas de risque de gel, retirez le boyau du robinet et vidangez l'eau dans le
boyau et dans le dévidoir. Si elle gèle, l'eau à l'intérieur du boyau, du dévidoir et
des tubes endommagera ces pièces.
3) Rangez le dévidoir à l'intérieur pendant la saison froide. Chaque printemps,
vérifiez l'état des raccords du tube d'arrivée et du tube de sortie avant d'utiliser le
dévidoir pour la première fois.
4) Vérifiez régulièrement le raccord du tube d'arrivée pour vous assurer que le
raccord est toujours étanche. Si le raccord semble desserré, tenez le tube d'arrivée
sur le côté du dispositif avec la paume de votre main gauche et la base du tube
de sortie avec la paume de votre main droite, puis poussez les pièces l'une contre
l'autre jusqu'à ce qu'elles s'emboîtent en produisant un déclic.
5) Lorsque vous enroulez le boyau après l'avoir utilisé, retirez la plus grande
quantité d'eau possible du boyau. Vous éviterez ainsi d'exercer trop de pression
sur le dévidoir (en raison du poids de l'eau), ce qui risquerait d'endommager irré-
médiablement le dispositif.
