l Make sure all guards, straps, and han-
dles are properly and securely attached.
l Use only the manufacturer's replace-
ment string in the cutting head. Do not
use any other cutting attachment. To
install any other brand of cutting head to
this string trimmer can result in serious
personal injury.
l Never operate unit without the grass
guard in place and in good condition.
l Maintain a firm grip on both handles
while trimming. Keep string head below
waist level. Never cut with the string
head located over 76 cm (30 in.) or more
above the ground.

ASSEMBLY (Fig. 1 - 3)
Attaching the "U" Handle Bar
1. Locate the handle mounting plate and
loosen the 4 mounting screws (Fig. 1).
2. Insert the right half of the "U" Handle
(gas control with engine stop) into the
right side of the handle mounting plate
located on the Brush Cutter shaft
(Fig. 2).
Right handle
3. Insert the left half of the "U" Handle into
the left side of the handle mounting plate
(Fig. 3).
