5. Use
• Normal State
Plug the detector into the mains. The detector will emit a double beep sound, the alarm LED will light red and turn
off, and the display will show a flashing dash. The power LED will light green. After a few minutes, the display will
show the gas leak level and the detector will enter the stand-by state.
• Alarm State
The detector will enter the alarm state after having detected a certain gas leak level:
o Level 0 ~ 2: low danger level, the power LED will light green.
o Level 3 ~ 5: medium danger level, the state LED will light red, the alarm LED blinks and the detector will emit a
slow beep sound.
o Level 6 ~ 9: high danger level, the state LED will light red, the alarm LED blinks and the detector will emit a
fast beep sound.
o Level A: highest danger level, both the state and alarm LEDs will light red.
The detector will resume its normal operating state as soon as the leak level drops.
• Test
Hold the flame opening of gas lighter (but without lighting the gas) in front of the sensor at a distance of approx.
5cm (2"). After a few seconds the alarm will sound and the alarm LED will blink. Depending on the amount of gas
the alarm will have an uncertain duration.
• Behaviour during Gas Alarm (from level 3)?
It is of crucial importance that you react correctly in case of an alarm. This is why you should take note of
the following tips, which you should attach near the gas detector.
• Do not switch light or other electric devices on or off.
• Immediately lock open gas flames or gas devices.
• Lock the gas supply.
• Open all windows and doors straight away to air the rooms.
• Inform the fault service of your gas supplier.
• Immediately contact a gas installation company with the clearing of the fault.
