Unicharge is designed to be used exclusively with liquid electrolyte, gelled (gel), or AGM type sealed
lead batteries.
•
Do not use it to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
•
Do not cover the charger during use.
•
Follow the battery manufacturer's safety instructions. If in doubt, consult your retailer or installer.
•
Batteries may produce flammable gas. Avoid all flames or sparks.
•
When handling the battery, there is a risk of acid leakage, protect yourself.
•
Never short-circuit the battery and / or the cables: danger of explosion or fire.
•
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a
person of similar qualification in order to avoid a hazard.
•
All work must be carried out in accordance with the country's current electricity regulations.
•
This device is not designed to be used by people (including children) whose physical, sensory or
mental abilities are reduced, nor by people lacking of experience or knowledge unless they have
benefited of supervision or prior instructions concerning the use of the device given by a person
responsible for their safety.
•
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
The battery terminal not connected to the chassis has to be connected first. The other connection
has to be made to the chassis, remote from the battery and fuel line. The battery charger is then
connected to the supply mains.
•
After charging, disconnect the battery charger from the supply mains. Then remove the chassis
connection and the battery connection.
