Charge the battery in a dry room
only. Prior to attaching the charg-
er, check that the battery's outer
surface is clean and dry. There
is a risk of injury due to electric
shock.

Charge the battery before the first time
of use. Do not briefly recharge the bat-
tery several times in a row.

Please use the charging device sup-
plied to charge up the device.

If a fully recharged battery lasts for con-
siderably shorter operating times, the
battery is used up and needs to be re-
placed. Only use an OEM spare battery
available from our Customer Service.

protection regulations and information.

The warranty excludes all defects
caused by improper handling.

Always remove the rechargeable bat-
tery before carrying out work on the
device. Risk of injury!
Removing/inserting the battery
1. To remove the battery from the device,
press the release button (1) on the bat-
tery (4) and pull the battery out.
2. To insert the battery (4), place it on the
guide track and push it back into the
appliance. It will audibly snap in.
Do not insert the battery until
the appliance is fully assembled.

Checking the battery charge
level
The battery's (3) charge level is indicated
by the charge state indicator (4).
Press the button for state of charge dis-
play (2) on the battery. The LEDs indicate
the battery's charge level.
4 lights means battery is fully charged.
1 light means that the battery needs to be
charged.
Charge the battery (4) when only
one LED on the charge level indi-
cator (3) is illuminated.
Recharging the battery
Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Charge the battery (4) when only
one LED on the charge level indi-
cator (3) is illuminated.
Charging time for battery
2.0 Ah = 1 hr
4.0 Ah = 2 hr
1. Remove the battery (4) from the
appliance, as necessary.
2. Insert the battery (4) in the
charging compartment of the
battery charger (5).
3. Plug the battery charger (5) into
a mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully re-
charged unplug the battery
charger (5) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery out of the bat-
tery charger (5).
