2. Using the detector
A/ Metal detector function
1/ Ensure the device is away from
the zone to be tested or any
other metal object. Open the
metal detection sensor (1).
2/ Set the selector switch to "I" (3),
slowly adjust the "sensitivity
cursor" (2) until the LED light
goes out and the buzzer stops.
The device now has the
highest sensitivity level.
3/ Place the metal detection
sensor (1) on the wall, move it slowly and gently across the
surface. The LED lights up and the alarm sounds when a
metal object is detected.
4/ To locate the exact position of the metal object, turn the
"sensitivity cursor" (2) forward slightly to reduce the detec-
tion sensitivity and scan the zone again.
This device can detect metals such as steel, iron, copper, gold,
aluminium, etc. It can help to avoid drilling through power
cables or gas pipes.
When it detects a metal object the buzzer sounds and the LED
indicators light up.
Note :
- This device does not work on fabric surfaces coated in alumi-
nium or metal.
- This device does not detect plastic water pipes.
