When the compensated flow decreases by 10% or more or the product TDS increases by 10%, membrane
cleaning should be scheduled.
With aging of the membranes there will also be a gradual decline in production flow. Thus, the age of the
membranes should also be taken into account. In general, there is a loss of production of:

4.17 FILTER CARTRIDGES
The supplied filter cartridges have a 5 micron sieve. They must be replaced when the pressure drop across
the filter cartridge exceeds 0.7 bar or if they are discolored. The prefilters are placed to protect the membra-
nes and should therefore be properly checked.
4.18 CHEMICAL INJECTION SYSTEMS
Dosage devices for dosing anti-scalent should be checked regularly for their proper functioning. The dosing
pump can draw air or get contaminated with eg sand particles. These dosages also serve to protect the mem-
