intROduCtiOn
1.the anticalc element fitted in your kettle is a revolutionary new concept in water heating techno-
logy, making it one of the fastest, most scale resistant kettles available today.More of your elec-
tricity converted into usable heat and better heat transfer from element to water mean less power
wasted and faster boiling.
2. the anticalc element is resistant to the scale build-up which can degrade the performance of a
traditional element, causing overheating and shortening its life.
3.Read these operation manual before using your kettle and keep them in a safe place for future
reference. Keep the packaging until you are satisfied that the product is operating correctly.
IMporTaNT safeGUarDs
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1.
to protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the mains lead, plug, kettle, or power
base in water or any other liquid. do not use in the bathroom or near any source of water. do
not use outdoors.
2.
do not touch hot surfaces i.e. body or lid. use handle or spherical handle.
3.
great care should be taken when pouring, do not over-tilt the kettle.
4.
Water can remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and can present a scald hazard.
Keep both kettle and mains lead away from children.
5.
do not operate the kettle near the edge of worktops or within the reach of children.
6.
this appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
7.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
8.
Remove the plug from the power socket when not in use and before cleaning. allow the
kettle to cool before cleaning.
9.
ensure that the water level is below the MaX mark.
10.
do not operate any appliance while a damaged mains lead or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return it to our Customer service de-
partment, as special purpose tools are required.
11.
do not let the mains hang over the edge of the table or worktop, or touch hot surfaces.
12.
do not place the kettle or its power base on or near a hotplate, hot hob or burner.
13.
do not use the kettle for any purpose other than heating water.
14.
the appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system
15.
ensure that the kettle is properly located on its power base before switching on.
16.
this kettle must be used only with the power base supplied.
17.
ensure that the kettle has switched itself off automatically or is switched off manually
before attempting to remove it from its power base.
18.
always remove the kettle from its power base before filling.
19.
if the supply cord is damaged,it must be replaced by the manufacture or its service agent or
a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
WaRning:
1. this appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications. such as:
• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working enviroments;
• farm housee;
• by clients in hotels, motels and residential type enviroments;
• bed and breakfast type enviroments.
2. if the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
3. if the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
4. Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
