• Never exceed the maximum rated lift capacity of 750 lbs. (340 kg).
• Read and understand the operating instructions, and all safety precautions
prior to using the lift. Operate the lift several times while the installer is
available to answer questions.
• Never use the VPL-3100B to lift freight or materials other than those intended by design.
• Keep panels and protective coverings in place to avoid potentially fatal injury.
• Do not open the lift's electrical box. There are no user-serviceable parts in the
electrical box.
• Always be aware of surface conditions before using the lift and take appropriate care.
• Keep hands, fingers and feet away from moving components during lift operation.
• Keep feet at a safe distance from the platform as it is lowered.
• Turn the power source of the device being lifted (scooter, power chair, wheelchair) to
OFF before operating the lift.
• Lock the wheels of any mobility device riding on the platform.
• Remove the key after turning off the VPL-3100B to prevent accidental operation due to
someone or something coming in contact with the key.
• The VPL-3100B includes batteries as its main power source. It will continue to operate
for some time during a power outage.
