Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
Store the machine in a dry place.
Lubricate the screw thread of the locking screw
with a drop of oil from time to time.
Every now and again you may see sparks
through the ventilation openings. This is normal
and does not damage the machine.
Precision setting of the cutting angles
(fig. A1 + B4 )
Although the machine has been precisely set up in
the factory, it is advisable to check the 0 ° and 90°
settings in order to make sure that these have not
moved during transportation.
Disconnect the machine from the mains
supply before checking or changing
settings.
In order to check the 0° mitre table setting, set
the mitre table (19) to 0° and tighten the mitre
locking handle (24).
Use a set square to check whether the angle
between the right guide and the saw blade is
90°.
In the same way check whether the angle of the
saw blade
is 90° compared to the front of the rotary table.
If necessary adjust the tilt angle of the saw head
to the 90° position with the adjustment screw
(33).
Check the 45° angle with a set square and, if
necessary, adjust with the adjustment screw (32).
Replacing a saw blade (fig. A1)
Only use saw blades which are sharp and
undamaged. You should replace cracked
or bent saw blades immediately. Do not
use saw blades made from HSS steel.
Use saw blades which are suitable for a
number of revolutions of at least 4,500
min
. Make sure that the spindle
-1
diameter and the saw blade bore match.
Always disconnect the machine from the
mains supply before removing a saw
blade.
Always wear work gloves when replacing
a saw blade.
1. Press down the operating handle (7) and pull
the lock button (6) in order to release the cutting
arm (5).
2. Move the cutting arm (5) to its highest position.
3. Unscrew the guard screw (14) with a Philips
screwdriver.
4. Pull the rotary guard (12) over the top fixed
guard (9) in order to access the lock nut.
5. Raise the rotary guard (12) and press the
spindle lock button (25). Turn the saw blade until
it locks the spindle.
6. Use the Allen key supplied to loosen and
remove the lock nut (unscrew clockwise
because the lock nut has a left-handed thread).
7. Remove the flat washer, the outer flange and
the saw blade. Remove sawdust and dirt.
8. Lubricate both flanges with a drop of oil.
9. Place a new saw blade on the spindle and make
sure that the inside flange is behind the saw
blade.
10. Refit the outermost flange.
11. Press the spindle lock button (25) and add the
flat washer and the lock nut.
12. Screw the lock nut tight with the Allen key
(anticlockwise).
13. Lower the rotary guard (12), hold onto it and
insert the guard screw (14) and screw it tight.
14. Reconnect the machine to the mains supply and
start it to check whether the saw blade is turning
correctly.
Moving the machine (fig. A1)
Make sure that the saw head is locked in the
lowest position before moving the machine.
Tighten all adjustment screws and handles.
Only lift the saw by the control lever (7) or by the
base.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The machine does not require any special
maintenance.
Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
From time to time, apply a drop of oil to the
thread of the fixing screw.
