The temperature of the soldering tip can be adjusted with the gas control lever

taking into consideration (-) (+) signs on the housing
To turn the soldering iron off, turn the gas control lever to (-) direction and pull
■
the ON/OFF- switch down towards the gas control until it is in the OFF-position
Ignition - Notes
Do not touch tip, tip housing or knurled nut while igniting
■
Do not ignite the soldering iron when the tip attachment is not screwed on
■
Do not ignite near open flames, heaters or furnace
■
Changing of soldering tips
Be sure the tip has cooled before removal
■
The soldering tip is easily removable allowing the installation of other style tips
■
or the replacement of a worn tip.
Remove the soldering tip and the tip housing by an counterclockwise turn of
■
the knurled nut
Attention! Make sure not to overtighten the knurled nut as this could damage
■
the nozzle assembly as well as the thread in the body
Cleaning and replacing the orifice assembly
Remove the soldering tip and the flame collar as described
■
Do not touch or turn the ceramic head of the nozzle assembly
■
Unscrew the nozzle assembly from the soldering iron. Use a pliers to grasp
■
he shaft
Remove the orifice assembly by pulling it with long-nosed pliers out of the
■
soldering iron
Put the orifice assembly for approx.. 5 min. in Naphtha (lighter fuel) or other
■
similar
Put cleaned or new orifice assembly back into place and make sure to insert
■
the shorter end into the soldering iron body.
Put the nozzle assembly back into place and carefully tighten with a pliers.
