COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION
General commissioning
1
Connect the cable from the outer socket to a grounded socket.
2
Lift the cover of the socket outlet at the outer socket outlet and plug the
appliance plug into one of the sockets of the outer socket outlet.
3
Set the toggle switch on the outer socket to the desired position:
•
When the switch on the outside outlet is set to ON, the outlet is
permanently on.
•
When the switch is set to AUTO, the outlet is controlled by the twilight
sensor, which automatically turns the outlet on and off depending on
the time of day.
Note: The twilight sensor only works when the environment is dark enough
at night. Do not place the device next to other light sources.
Using the twilight sensor
The external socket has a twilight sensor which can be switched on via the
toggle switch (AUTO switch position) for two sockets at a time. The sensor
reacts to the ambient light and switches the sockets on as long as it is dark. As
soon as it is light, the sockets are switched off automatically.
Note: The twilight sensor only works when the environment is dark enough
at night. Do not place the device next to other light sources.
1
Insert the device plug into one of the sockets of the outer socket.
2
Set the toggle switch on the outer socket to the position
3
AUTO. The two associated sockets are no longer permanently supplied
with power. They are switched on in corresponding darkness and switched
off again in corresponding brightness.
4
If permanent power is required, set the toggle switch to ON.
