INSTALLATION
• After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is intact; if in doubt, do not use
it and call in qualified staff. Packaging components (plastic bags, expanded
polystyrene, nails, etc.) must not be left within reach of children since they are
potentially hazardous; dispose of them in accordance with the current law.
• Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage values marked on the adapter
data plate are the same as those of the electrical mains, and that the power socket is
properly earthed. If the appliance's plug is not compatible with the socket, have the
socket replaced with another of suitable type by qualified staff, who must ensure that
the socket's wire gauge is suitable for the appliance's power draw. In general, the use
of adapters and/or extension leads is not recommended; if their use is unavoidable,
they must comply with current safety regulations and their current rating (amps) must
be no lower than the maximum current draw of the appliance.
• The appliance may be connected via a power bank (not supplied); before connecting,
check the voltage values on the portable battery charger data plate.
• Before each use, check that the appliance is in good condition and ensure that the
adapter power cord is not damaged and do not switch it on unless certain it is intact: if
in doubt, call in qualified staff.
• The power socket must be easily accessible so that the plug can be removed easily in
an emergency.
• Do not place the appliance on shelves and/or close to washbasins or vessels containing
liquids (minimum distance 2 metres) to ensure that it cannot fall into them.
• Place the appliance well away from heat sources (e.g. naked lights, gas burners, etc.).
• Do not place the appliance on shelves or windowsills.
• The supporting surface must be stable, not sloping (as the appliance might tip over)
and smooth.
• At first use, clean and wash the bowl and container: see "Cleaning and Maintenance"
section.
• In case of a fault or malfunction, switch the appliance off and have it checked by
qualified staff; repairs by unqualified staff may be dangerous and lead to the loss of
warranty cover.
