Place the assembled telescopic bracket under the caravan
and attach the thinner tube (L -shape) to the left chassis
bracket by the M10x60 bolt, 2 M10 washers and M10
locking nut (torque 5Nm). Because there are various spare
wheel widths and chassis heights, three different heights
are available. Make sure the spare wheel will finally be
firmly fixes (caught) between the bracket and the caravan
bottom. Possibly try first.
Determine the final position of the spare wheel and secure
thereafter the transverse bracket with the M10x85
threaded pin (turn into the welded nut). Lock the threaded
pin then with the M10 nut so it will not come loose.
A good and balanced weight is essential for proper handling of the
caravan!
Mount the M10x190 T-bolt on the right chassis bracket (4
heights available) by the M10x60 bolt, 2 M10 washers and
M10 locking nut (torque 5Nm).
For optimum and safe functioning (properly clamp securing
the spare wheel), it is important that there is 10mm space
(A) between the chassis mounting clamp bolt and the
bracket. If necessary, fill the space between the wheel and
the caravan bottom with a wooden bar.
Make sure the whole system is in the right position, the wheel does not touch any vital
parts and is well caught between the bottom and the bracket. Finally tighten the chassis
mounting clamp bolts (torque 25Nm).
Place the spare wheel on the bracket and push the bracket to the bottom so that the
spare wheel is well caught between the bottom and the bracket. Attach the spare wheel
with the M10 wing nut and big M10 washer on the threaded pin of the transverse bracket.
