There is a risk of explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
The battery compartment for a battery of type LR44/SR44 is located under a cover that is sim-
ply slid open. Insert a battery in such a way that the plus pole ("+") points outwards in your direc-
tion. The battery must be replaced if the contrast in the display starts to fade or the sliding cal-
liper can no longer be switched on.
Operation
• Switch the sliding calliper on or off by using the button "ON/OFF".
• With the button "0" the value display can be reset to "0". Thus, both an absolute measurement
and a relative measurement (difference) are possible.
• The key "mm/in" is used to switch between the measurement units "mm" and "inch".
• By means of the thumb wheel (11) the flexible measuring jaw can be slid more sensitively.
• Pay attention that the sliding calliper is not attached in a wedged or inclined fashion since this
may lead to faulty measurements. Please observe the following sample illustrations ("x"
stands for a faulty measurement):
