BEFORE FITTING THE TOP COVER
•
Please remove all protrusions where possible, including the nosewheel. If your caravan or motorhome is
fitted with a status aerial, the top spike must be removed.
•
It's recommended that the caravan or motorhome is cleaned and free of any loose particles/grit, prior to fitting
•
Avoid the inside surface of the top cover coming into contact with the ground. It's important to protect
windows from scratching.
•
Note! Any Sharp protruding objects will tear/damage the top cover and shorten its useful life. It's your
responsibility to ensure all sharp objects are suitably covered, this preventing damage to your top cover.
•
Two people and the careful use of stepladders are necessary to fit the top cover. Starting from the front, lift the
top cover over the roof of the caravan or motorhome, being careful not to snag the top cover on any protruding
objects, such as aerials or heater vents. Once in position, adjust as necessary for an even fit side to side.
Tip: Use the end of a broom to fit the top cover over the roof.
•
Feed the nylon spanner underneath the vehicle in such a way that they are not twisted, click in the clasps and
draw tight.
•
ATTENTION: Avoid direct contact with windows and/or other fragile parts of the vehicle to prevent scratching
(after placement the nylon straps can vibrate/rattle because of wind). The use separators and corner guards
when needed is strongly advised.
•
A piece of spare material is co-supplied to use for repairs in the unexpected event of a tear.
Recommended use: Spacers (not included)
The spacers and protective corners (sold separately, art.nrs. 610266 and 610267) are used to guide the
straps to avoid contact with the vehicle and as a force distributor on the fragile edges of the vehicle and
it will prevent scratches.
