- Fasten an angle protractor to the horn and place the zero of the protractor strictly in the horn's vertical
axis.
- Place the ATM 100 attenuator located after the OND 100 wavemeter in its zero position.
- Rotate the receiving horn by an α angle and calculate the corresponding attenuation.
- Identify the indication given by the galvanometer of the IR 205.
- Bring the receiving horn back to the α = 0 position.
- Attenuate using the ATM 100 attenuator until you return to the previously identified indication and
identify the indication on the attenuator.
- Carry out several manipulations, each time giving α different values.

Cleaning
Before assembling the educational bench's microwave components, make sure that no dust is present
inside the waveguide.
CAUTION!
Do not use a pressurised air jet for fear of damaging certain components.
Do not use solvent, and take precautions when dusting.

It is essential that all measuring instruments are regularly calibrated.
