WARNING
y Carefully read the entire user's manual before first
use and keep it with the product so that the user can
become acquainted with it. If you lend or sell the
product to somebody, include this user's manual with
it. Prevent this user's manual from being damaged.
The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damages
or injuries arising from use that is in contradiction to
this user's manual. Before using the tool, first acquaint
yourself with all the control elements and parts as
well as how to turn it off immediately in the event of
a dangerous situation arising. Before using, first check
that all parts are firmly attached and check that no
part of the power tool, such as for example safety pro-
tective elements, is damaged or incorrectly installed,
or missing. Damage is also considered to constitute
damaged or degraded insulation on the power cord. Do
not use a tool with damaged or missing parts and have
it repaired or replaced at an authorised service centre
for the Extol® brand - see chapter Servicing and main-
tenance, or the website address at the introduction to
this user's manual.

WARNING
y Prior to the installation/replacement of the rivet bolt,
maintenance or other servicing tasks, disconnect the
power tool from the el. power source.
INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
OF THE RIVET BOLT
y The rivet gun is intended for blind rivets with a body
diameter of 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.8 mm. The respective
rivet bolt (fig. 1, position 1 and position 3) must be used
for the specific rivet body, which has a number stamped
on its head that corresponds to the diameter of the rivet
body and not the diameter of the rivet mandrel. One
rivet bolt is screwed inside the barrel of the rivet gun and
the remaining two are on the right side of the rivet gun.
y If a rivet bolt with a stamped number, e.g. 4.8 mm, is
screwed into the barrel of the rivet gun, then this bolt
should not be used for blind rivets with a body diame-
ter of less than 4.8 mm. Rivet bolts have various body
lengths depending on the diameter of the rivet body for
which they are intended.
76
y By pushing with the length of its body on the jaws, the
rivet bolt creates an opening in the jaws of a size that
is necessary for the insertion of the rivet mandrel, the
diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the
rivet body.
Using a certain rivet bolt for blind rivets with a non-
-corresponding diameter may cause the rivet mandrel
to become blocked in the jaws or incorrect operation.
Perform the installation/replacement of the rivet bolt
according to steps 1 to 4 as shown in fig. 2.
V. Method of use
ATTENTION
y Before connecting the power cord to an el. power
source, check that the voltage in the power socket
corresponds to the voltage range and frequency of
220-240 V ~ 50 Hz. The power tool can be used in this
voltage range.
Insert the power cord plug into an el. power socket.

ATTENTION
y When working with a rivet gun, use suitable certified eye
and ear protection with a sufficient level of protection.
a) Set the power switch of the rivet gun to the
„ON" position, see fig.3.
Fig.3
b) Into a drilled hole with a diameter correspon-
ding to the body of the rivet, insert the rivet
body, see steps 1 and 2 in fig. 4. To ensure that
the materials are properly joined, the rivet
body must be sufficiently long with respect to
the thickness of the materials that are being
joined together.
