Meticulous concrete compaction is required around the HALFEN Channel.
Installation by placing the channel in wet concrete is not recommended!
If this kind of installation cannot be avoided then very careful concrete vibration is essential
after placing the channel (minimum 10 seconds vibration for short channels or 20 seconds per metre for long
channels on both sides with a vibrating tool or 10 seconds total with a vibrating table).

Fixing to reinforcement bars
4.4.1
Fixing from above directly to the reinforcement:
secure the HALFEN Channel by wire.
4.4.2
Fixing from above to the reinforcement, using the
HALFEN ChanClip
Attach the HALFEN ChanClip to the HALFEN
Channel, the ribbed pin on the ChanClip must
be pushed into one of the nail holes in the
HALFEN Channel. At least 2 ChanClips per
channel are required.
Snap in the auxiliary bars diam. 8 or 10 mm
(rebars B500 B, by contractor) at the required
positions in the ChanClip. Fix the HALFEN
Channel with the attached ChanClips and the
auxiliary bars to the reinforcement.
Check for the correct height and secure the
rebars by wire.
5.1
Filling removal
Grip the combi strip fi ller at one end and pull out
by hand use a tool, e.g. a screwdriver.
5.2
Installation of T-head bolts
Please refer to our installation instructions for
HS/HSR/HZS bolts for correct installation of
HALFEN T-head bolts.
