LUXAMED® LuxaScope Sonus and Sonus Flex Stethoscopes
Intended use:
The LUXAMED® LuxaScope Sonus stethoscopes are to be used for auscultation. Fur-
thermore, the stethoscopes can be used to measure blood pressure according to Ko-
rotkow.
These instruments are only to be used by authorized, trained per¬sonnel.
LUXAMED LuxaScope Sonus stethoscopes are free of latex.
Use the device in accordance with its designated use and for its intended purpose only.
Warning:
Please make sure that, prior to any use, the SOFTBUDS ear tips are fi xed correct-
ly on the head piece. NEVER use without SOFTBUDS ear tips. Adjust the head piece
for an ergonomic position according to your needs to enable an optimum sound quality.
Make sure that the SOFTBUDS ear tips do not penetrate far into the ear canal. This
might cause severe injuries.
Keep the SOFTBUDS ear tips and head piece clean to avoid deterioration of the hearing
quality.
Use the stethoscopes only with Luxamed spare parts and accessories.
Application:
Stethoscopes are to be used by medical workers for auscultation of physiological sounds
and noises. For the blood pressure measurement according to Korotkow stethoscopes
are used to diagnose the systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
The stethoscope consists of breast piece, tube with binaural piece and fi xed SOFT-
BUDS ear tips. Luxamed has diff erent versions in its product range with the familiar
reusable diaphragm and bell types as well as disposable versions, as described below:
Simply bending apart both binaurals to adjust the head piece its physiological condi-
tions. To produce more pressure between SOFTBUDS ear tips and ear bend both bin-
