a. Turn the variable speed Dial to a higher
setting, to increase tool speed.
b. Turn the variable speed dial to a lower
setting, to decrease tool speed.
Note: Adjust tool speed to best suit the
work carried out, and to adapt to material
requirements. Also refer to the accessory
manufacturer's instructions, with regards to
tool speed selection.
Sawing
6.3
• Ensure the saw blade is sharp and in
good condition.
• Do not use saw blades that are dam-
aged or bent in any way.
• When sawing light building materials,
follow the recommendations of the
material suppliers.
• Apply plunge cuts to soft materials only,
for example wood, plasterboard etc.
• If using saw blades not designed for
cutting metal, ensure there are no nails
or screws embedded in the workpiece.
If necessary, remove embedded objects
or use metal cutting saw blades
instead.
Sanding
6.4
• The removal rate and the sanding pat-
tern are determined by the type of sand-
ing sheet, the preset oscillation rate and
the applied pressure.
• Pay particular attention to applying
uniform sanding pressure; this
increases the working life of the sand-
ing sheets.
• Intensifying the sanding pressure will
not lead to an increase of the sanding
capacity, but to increased wear of the
machine and prema-ture wear of the
sanding sheet.
• For precise on-the-spot sanding of
edges, corners and hard-to-reach areas,
it is also possible to work only with the
tip or an edge of the sanding plate.
• A sanding sheet that has been used for
sanding metal should not be used for
sanding other materials.
• Regularly brush down or vacuum the
surface being sanded to ensure the
sanding sheet is in direct contact with
the surface.

Scraping
6.5
For scraping, select a high speed setting.
On soft surfaces (e.g. wood), work at a flat
angle and apply only light pressure so that
the scraper does not cut into the surface.
LED lamp
6.6
The LED lamp (1) will be lit automatically as
soon as you press the ON/OFF switch (3).

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

WARNING: Always disconnect from the
mains power supply, before carrying out any
maintenance/ cleaning of the charger.
Remove the battery before carrying out any
maintenance/cleaning of the tool.
Maintenance
7.1
There are no inner parts of the tool which
need maintenance.
Cleaning
7.2
• Keep safety devices, ventilation open-
ings and the motor housing as free as
possible from dirt and dust. Rub the
electric power tool with a clean cloth or
blow over it with low pressure com-
pressed air.
• We recommend that you clean your
electric power tool immediately after
each use.
• Clean the electric power tool regularly
with a damp cloth and somewhat soft
soap. Do not use any cleaning or sol-
vent materials; these can attack the
device's plastic components. Make sure
that no water can get inside the electric
power tool.
