OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TIMER ICON
•
Press the TIMER ICON to set the countdown timer for the unit's main power.
Note: The timer function requires the main power to be on.
•
When the timer is activated a small TIMER ICON will appear lit next to the LED readout.
•
Press the TIMER ICON to scroll up through the timer settings which are:
30, 1H, 2H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H, 8H, 9H, 0. (30 means 30 minutes )
•
When the timer reaches the last minute the LED readout will automatically activate and show
the remaining time counting down in seconds. When the timer reaches zero it will turn OFF
the main power and will maintain the last temperature setting in memory.
ADJUSTABLE HEATER POSITION
• To adjust the heater angle pull the round handle away from the side. With the handle pulled
out tilt the heater body to the desired position. Let go of the handle (it is spring loaded) and
slightly adjust the angle of the heater body until it locks into position. There are three small
white lines to help align the position (see Diagram 2 on page 6)
1st position is the horizontal position of the heater.
2nd position is 11 degrees up from the horizontal position
3rd position is 22 degrees up from the horizontal position
MEMORY FUNCTION
•
This unit has a memory function that allows you to turn off the main power and retain all the
other function settings (excluding the timer function).
•
The last temperature setting will be saved to memory when the unit is powered off.
•
With the unit off press the POWER ICON, the unit will power on at the last temperature setting
is one is in memory. The memory is reset if the unit has been unplugged for the power outlet.
•
To reset the memory, unplug the unit from the wall for 5 seconds.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
•
Make sure the unit is turned OFF, unplugged and the heating elements of heater are cool
whenever you are cleaning the heater.
•
The pre-filter can be cleaned using a vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment. With the unit off
and cool to the touch hold the vacuum hose against the back panel. The vacuum should
remove most dust and debris from the mesh screen.
DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage the metal
•
trim.
•
Make sure the unit is level and secure when using, periodically check the rubber feet to
make sure they are in proper working order.
•
When the heater is not in use, the heater should be stored in a dry location, away from
possible damage. The power cord should be stored properly to avoid contact with hot or
sharp objects.
•
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
STORAGE
•
Make sure the unit is cool to the touch and all internal parts have cooled off before storing
the product.
•
The cord can be wrapped around the base to shorten it for storage. Wrap the cord around
the base and guide the remaining cord into the notch molded into the base.
