Switch-on point ≤ switch-off point = fault indication
ATTENTION !
in display.
Switch-on point = switch-off point, from which follows hysteresis = 5 cm
(reference point = switch-on point).
If values less than 5 cmWs are selected for the switch-on and switch-
off point, the pump will switch on at 5 cmWs and off at 3 cmWs, to
ensure safe operation.
Service mode :
The factory setting is service mode, i.e. all settings can be changed.
If the service mode is deactivated in the menu, the settings can then
only be viewed via the digital potentiometer.
After connection to the mains or after a power cut, the control starts
in automatic mode upon expiry of the set delay.
The motor contactors directly control the pumps.
In the LC display, the levels and the operating hours of the pumps are
shown alternately in the first and second lines respectively. After start
of the pumps the current of the pumps is shown in the second line.
The pump starts can be displayed by turning the digital potentiome-
ter.
Possible setting
Explanation
(in bold : pre-setting)
0 - 180 sec.
After the value has fallen below the switch-off point the base load pump conti-
nues to run until the set time has elapsed.
0.0 – 12.0 A (M)
Monitors the current flow in phase L2. If the set value has been exceeded for a
0.0 – 10.0 A (T4)
specified time, the pump is switched off and it can only be restarted after pressing
the acknowledge button >0.25 sec. Indication P1 is displayed: Overcurrent.
ATTENTION! If the switching device must be tested without load, the motor current
limiting must be set at 0 A. Otherwise the fault "No load" is displayed.
0.0 – 12.0 A (M)
Monitors the current flow in phase L2. If the set value has been exceeded for a
0.0 – 10.0 A (T4)
specified time, the pump is switched off and it can only be restarted after pressing
the acknowledge button >0.25 sec. Indication P2 is displayed: Overcurrent.
ATTENTION! If the switching device must be tested without load, the motor current
limiting must be set at 0 A. Otherwise the fault "No load" is displayed.
Activated
Activated = If the pumps have not been activated for a period of 24 hours, they
Deactivated
automatically run for a period of 5 sec.
ATTENTION! This function should only be activated if the pump is immerged and is
allowed to emerge the liquid.
Activated
Activated = The internal piezo buzzer sounds in the event of a fault.
Deactivated
Activated
Activated = The fault signalling relay is operated. The blinking light can be repla-
Deactivated
ced by a less expensive continuous light.
Activated
Activated = After each operation of the base load pump a changeover to the
Deactivated
other pump is effected.
Activated
Activated = A bimetal contact (warning contact) must be connected to terminals
Deactivated
31,32 (pump 1). Deactivated = Terminal 31 has no function.

Deactivated = Terminal 38 has no function
Activated

Deactivated
Deactivated = Settings are shown but cannot be changed.

In addition to the LC display, DELs are used for the following indica-
tions :
DELs - red
= max. water level alarm / pump failure
DELs - yellow, steadily lit
= pump operating
DELs - yellow, blinking
= pump operating via run-down time
DELs - green, steadily lit
= automatic mode
DELs - green, blinking
= manual mode
Four relay contacts are provided for issuing fault signals :
- collective fault (potential-free).
- fault pump 1 (potential-free).
- fault pump 2 (potential-free).
- max. water level alarm (potential-free).
Operation and setting occurs via a digital potentiometer or via but-
tons. The microcontroller detects the change to the settings and
automatically shows the corresponding value (switching points,
times, motor current limiting) on the LC display.
The control detects faulty inputs :
- identical setting values (without hysteresis).
- switch-on point below switch-off point.
- max. water level value below switch-on point.
