Maintenance
Tips
Store your vacuum cleaner indoors in a cool, dry area not exposed to the weather to avoid electrical shock and/or damage
to the vacuum.
The Targa Enviro Vac, 330 and 660 employ an Automatic Thermal Switch which shuts off the entire vacuum should the motor
temperature exceed an acceptable level. Should this shut-off occur, unplug the vacuum and inspect filter and hose for signs
of blockage. The Thermal Switch will reset itself in approximately 20 minutes.
Hose Care
To extend the life of your hose, we recommend the following practices:
1.
Avoid stepping on the hose or placing heavy objects on top of the hose.
2.
Avoid excessive tugging on the hose.
3.
Do not expose hose to direct sunlight for extended lengths of time.
4.
Drain hose of liquids and rinse with cold water after vacuuming chemicals.
Wrap the cord around vacuum head when not in use.
Accessories
After extensive use, it may become necessary to replace the brushes in the rug tool and the rubber blades in the universal tool.
Contact your authorized Dustbane Targa vacuum distributor for these parts.
Vacuum Motor Maintenance
The Targa Series motors are among the best available vacuum motos. Provided that the procedures in this manual are followed,
your Targa motor should not require replacement of the brushes before 800 hours of operation. Replacing brushes after ths time
will prolong the life of the motor.
Any other services should be performed by an authorized Dustbane distributor only.
