Discovering your PH1: Front view
On/Off switch: Use this button to switch ON or switch OFF your PH1.

Ground. This is a terminal that allows the tone arm shield cable to connect directly to the chassis of the

PH1 to eliminate any radio interference or hum from the signal.
MC Selector switch - if using MC or High Output MC this toggle switch must be set to the correct position.

If using only a moving magnet cartridge there is no need to change the switch.

RCA output: Connect the RCA outputs of your PH1 to the RCA inputs of your preamplifier or
integrated amplifier .... (for example Genesis P5 or Genesis IA3)
Balanced Audio output: This is a higher quality output that can reject noise and interference in the

cable when used with equipment with balanced inputs. XLR connectors should be wired as follows:
Pin 1 - Ground; Pin 2 - Hot (in-phase); Pin 3 - Cold (phase-inverted).
DC In Socket: Connect 24V provided power adaptor. Be sure your PH1 switch is in OFF position before

plugging or unplugging the adaptor.
When replacing batteries reset switch must be pressed before switching on.
