TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Unit does not come on
Power indicator light stays red
and does not turn green
Humidifier is not putting out
enough vapor.
Strange smell coming from unit
Water is leaking from unit
White dust appears on surfaces
near humidifier.
Solution
Check that unit is plugged in and outlet
•
has power.
Check that unit is turned on.
•
Check that unit has water.
•
Refill tank.
Verify tank cap is secured tightly and
•
water tank is positioned correctly on
base.
Normal for first use. Allow unit to run 24
•
hours for first use.
Insufficient water in tank.
•
Refill tank.
Ensure unit is on level surface, not
•
inclined.
Check that water tank is installed onto
•
base correctly.
Check that knob is set at correct level.
•
Make sure oscillator is not damaged.
•
The humidifier may be growing bacteria.
•
Clean unit according to maintenance
instructions.
Oscillator may be dirty. Unplug unit and
•
clean oscillator as described on page 7.
The demineralization cartridge is not
•
installed correctly onto the water cap.
The water cap is not securely tightened.
•
The water tank is not situated correctly on
•
the base.
The unit has been moved or jostled
•
allowing water to spill.
Often the result of using softened water.
•
Use non softened water.
Replace demineralization cartridge.
•
If it continues, change to filtered or
•
distilled water.
