Propane burner
This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. If the information
in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, explosion or production of carbon monoxide may result
causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life. The qualified service agency is responsible for the
proper installation of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted
appliance is checked as specified in the owner instructions supplied with the kit.
WARNING: Failure to position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use only parts
specifically approved with this appliance may result in property damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: Before proceeding with conversion shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power.
1.
Remove the safety barrier and glass door. Remove existing media. Set aside.
2.
Remove both screws securing each air cover to the burner assembly (Fig. 1). Set aside.
3.
Remove 3 screws and the pilot shield (Fig. 1). Set aside.
4.
Remove the 7 screws securing the media tray in place. Slide the media tray forward and out of the
appliance. Set screws and media tray aside (Fig. 2).

Using a deep socket, remove the main burner orifice. Use a 7/8" wrench
to ensure that the manifold tubing does not twist or kink. Replace with
the orifice supplied.

Remove the two screws from the valve regulator and remove the
regulator. Replace with the one supplied. Adjust the air shutter for the
burner according to the table located on the back of this page.
7.
Remove the pilot hood from the pilot assembly by unhooking retaining
clip and pulling pilot hood vertically. Use a 5/32" Allen key to unscrew
the injector. Replace the pilot injector with the one supplied. Re-
assembly the pilot hood onto the assembly and reattach retaining clip.
Ensure key position for proper alignment (Fig. 3).

The conversion data label must be filled out and attached adjacent to
the valve.
9.
Reinstall the media tray, pilot shield, and air covers. Turn on the
electrical supply to the appliance.
10. Turn on the gas supply. Then light the pilot to ensure the gas lines
have been purged.
11. Check for gas leaks by brushing on a
soap and water solution.
Do not use open flame. Once all
systems
have been checked, replace the media.
12. Re-install the glass door and safety barrier.
Purge all gas lines with the glass door
open.
Assure that a continuous flow is at the
burner before closing the door.
