General Operations
1. The sensitivity control is designed to make the filter lens more responsive to different light levels.
Use toggle switch to adjust as required for application.
2. The delay control is used to adjust the hold time of the filter lens after welding is completed. Use
toggle switch to adjust as required for application.
3. Variable Shade Control - The shade number can be set from 9 to 13 by turning the shade control
knob until the arrow points to the desired shade number and/or toggle switch.
Care and Maintenance
• Keep the sensors and solar cells clean. Clean the filter cartridge using a soapy water solution and
soft cloth which should be damp but not saturated.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning detergent.
• Replace parts with only genuine Forney
• Do not immerse the filter in water.

SOLUTION
Clean the sensors with a soft cloth
Clean cover lens with a soft cloth. Replace if necessary
Adjust the sensitivity switch/knob.
Try replacing both batteries with new batteries, then
check the low battery indicator
Reduce sensitivity
Reset headband to reduce difference in distances to
filter, if necessary
